How to Post a Free Classified Ad

Malibu Miley is a local classifieds and marketplace site for people across the United States. This guide walks through how the posting form works, starting with picking a category, what you need before publishing, and where posting fees apply.

Before you post: account requirements

You can start filling in a post without signing in, and your draft is saved in this browser. To publish, you need a Malibu Miley account with a verified email address.

Malibu Miley is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service, as described in our Terms of Service.

Your first post does not require phone verification. Before publishing additional posts, you will be asked to verify a U.S. +1 mobile phone number.

Step 1: Choose a category

Every post starts on the Post an Ad page. Pick the section and category that best fit what you are offering, such as For Sale, Services, Jobs, housing, events or community polls. The form changes to show the fields that matter for that category.

Step 2: Write a clear title and description

Use a specific title that names the item or service. In the description, include condition, size or measurements, what is included, and how you prefer to be contacted. Add a location so nearby people can find your post, and set a price where the category asks for one.

Step 3: Add photos

You can attach photos to listings. The first photo is used as the thumbnail, and you can choose a thumbnail look or keep a natural version. Photos are resized for upload while your originals stay in your browser draft until you publish.

What is free and what is not

Standard classified posts such as items for sale, services, jobs, housing, events and community polls can be posted without a posting fee.

There are exceptions. Movie posts are a paid ad type, and ticket purchases for events or movies are separate transactions that may carry their own prices and charges. Free classifieds also does not mean the items, services or tickets in a post are free; sellers and organizers set their own prices.

Editing or removing your post

After publishing, open your account dashboard to edit the details of a post or remove it when it is no longer available. Removing sold or outdated items keeps local results accurate for everyone.
